granny smith apples
lemon juice
honey
rain water
this is like an accidental poem! i love the ingredient 'rain water'. it conjures rain flavours and scents. i love how cleansing and natural it sounds.
i also love the dozen eggs i bought from a farmer from Wandin. they're all shapes and sizes! some are speckled, round, oval, big, small.

simple pleasures.

Hey Lizzy,
ReplyDeleteI have located some eggs for you, one of the families at school. Their chooks are truly free range and roam the paddocks in beautiful Somers.
They eat real grass and worms and kitchen scraps. They take themselves off to the roost at night and wake up with the dawn. No lights on them except for the sun and they have full beaks to scoop up their water when thirsty.
Mmm nice eggs for a nice girl/locovore!!!
Although I admire your pursuit Liz (and I do!) but I am also partial to a chicken sandwich (and so is your mother!). Is it healthy to eat eggs everyday? I hope so, because I eat a lot of eggs from the two chooks at home. Quite a nice blog, hopefully it is an indication of a change in human food trends- after all, why eat oranges from China when we get get them from down the road?! Silly humans!

P.S. Organic 'Africas' coffee- Oh yeh!
